Rich results

Search results with an enhanced display, such as one for a recipe, that Google can show for pages with structured data.

When a recipe page has structured data describing its title, its author and other details, Google Search can use that to show a rich result for the recipe (Google Search Central). Google describes rich results as search results “that are more engaging to users” and that “might encourage them to interact more with your website.”

Getting them

To be eligible for a rich result, a page needs structured data with all the properties Google requires for that kind of result.

Google’s Rich Results Test checks your structured data and, for some kinds of result, previews how it could look in Google Search. After your pages go live, the rich result reports in Search Console show whether the markup is still valid.
